The afternoon faded gently in the Shah house, the golden light slanting through latticed windows as Tara finished her chores, her bangles chiming softly in the stillness. The air carried the faint scent of incense and sandalwood from the shrine, mingling with the aroma of freshly prepared tea. As dusk approached, lamps were lit, filling the home with a warm, amber glow and a quiet sense of anticipation for the evening ritual. Vijay entered, his tone calm yet jittery in his mind, he informed Tara that Rajesh would be staying the night ,tired from his long journey. Later, as Tara prepared the guest room, arranging the sheets and lighting a small lamp by the bedside, Vijay mentioned gently that Rajesh, being a skilled healer, had offered to help ease the ache in her body. He assured her it was entirely her choice, but perhaps his touch could bring her some relief.
